Take in some culture

Take in some culture at one of Dorset’s many stately homes. From Lulworth Castle to Shaftesbury Abbey and Kingston Lacy, Dorset’s rich and varied history has left a lot of magnificent stately homes around the area. So why not use a rainy day to go and check them out!

But the best rainy day activity in Dorset is...

Dorset Mud Trail

Dorset Mud Trail is by far the best rainy day activity in Dorset. This 1.5km obstacle-filled trail is great fun normally but even more fun in the wet when it gets even muddier! There are cargo nets to climb, monkey rings to master and rope swings dangle from!  There is a full range of facilities including ‘beach-style’ showers, changing rooms and lockers. What’s more, we have our very own Snack Shack, serving hot and cold drinks and hot food - perfect for refreshing yourself after an excellent morning on the trail.
